Spence Kitchen

Our first kitchen!

The client had a very clear vision for their kitchen.  We worked closely with them, to give their small and compact kitchen a fresh, bright, modern make-over.  Birch plywood was used to create the carcasses, drawer, and door fronts, with an emphasis placed on end grain detailing.  The units have been topped with melamine-faced Birch, providing a work surface that reflects even more light around the room, while continuing the end grain aesthetic.

Birch plywood shelves have been utilised throughout, allowing for easy access to kitchenware, at the same time simultaneously keeping the room feel light.

A mini pegboard provides convenient hanging space for oven mitts and tea towels; it also offers a ventilation system for the sink!

In such a small space, we worked closely with the general builder to ensure the sink unit, with an integrated dishwasher, fitted where no off-the-shelf units would.

All Birch ply is finished using Osmo Oil Top Oil, a product designed specifically for kitchens, with extra attention given to those areas that see the most traffic.

Kitchen carcasses can be configured to your specification, contact us to discuss your project!

What the client says:

I can’t recommend Rebecca enough. She’s done all the cupboards and hanging shelves in our compact, but very complicated kitchen, and she’s done an excellent job. We were very pleased how she kept us in the loop and communicated every bit of the process. She puts a lot of attention to every detail and offers several solutions for any problem. We had a clear vision for our kitchen and Rebecca made sure we got exactly what we were after with lots of professional insight. If you need a bespoke, timeless and high-quality furniture you have found the right person.
